NSE Guidelines for Simulated Market Environment

Secretarial ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE), on September 24, 2026, issued guidelines for members using the Simulated Market Environment to test trading applications/software and facilitate the timely registration of new or upgraded applications/software. The guidelines are intended to ensure a seamless testing experience across different market segments.

Under the Master Data Replication Process, all master data, including security, contract, member, user, trading limits, trading rights and password data, will be replicated from the Live environment on a T-1 basis, where T represents the trading day in the Simulated Market Environment. Accordingly, members may use the login credentials that were available in the Live/Production environment on the previous trading day for accessing the Simulated Market Environment.

The login password used in the Live/Production environment on the previous trading day shall likewise be used for logging into the Simulated Market Environment on the current trading day. The Circular provides an illustration of the T-1 replication process and sets out these requirements to facilitate consistent testing of members' trading applications and systems.

This applies to Currency Derivatives, Electronic Gold Receipt, Commodity Derivatives, Capital Market (Equities) Trade, Futures & Options, Emerge, Member Service Department.
